STILL LIFE

Still life has a long history in the history of painting and can be found on the walls of ancient Egyptian tombs. It has infinite possibilities for art practice as it can absorb all material in a multitude of compositional arrangements. My intention was to develop a series of studio still life using common decorative art objects and textiles as foreground and my documented paintings as background. Vector images, photos and photoshop contributed to the development of the series.
