2012. Notes on the reds fighting the blacks and whites
1. These images are alluding to aestheticising detritus, that is material desolving, breaking and grinding down from the visable to microscopic from order to disorder. What is left out, what is not needed as being essential.
2. While working on other collage the offcuts came from an intention, whereas the scraps did not. They are repurposed here as another action. The capture of entrophy.
3. Thinking of Duchamps three standard stoppages on a work devised by chance actions of string dropped on a surface. These 'image thoughtforms' reveal the absolute order of the grid that contrasts with the chance random dropping of the offcuts onto the surface.
