2016: This painting project references the early 20th C in modernisms rise of abstraction and total abandonment of realism in painting. The work appropriates the aesthetic canon of European Cubist, and Russian Constructivist movements with its everyday use of construction and building materials central to a working class and revolutionary moment in the history of Art.
