They are 'digital moving collage' a genre that dates to Georges Braque's and Pablo Picasso's 'embrace of real life material applied to the art object itself.

Inspired by Arthur C Clarke and his extraordinary vision of the future in terms of computer science and to Stanley Kubrick for his realization of the literary vision of Clarke's 2001: a Space Odyssey.
